Multicultural family mornings
Event series in Tallinn for curious families
Multicultural Family Mornings are a series of family events where we get to know a new country and culture in a child-friendly and playful way. Each family morning we explore the language, everyday life, music, tastes and customs of another country and discover what life is like for children in another corner of the world.

Why to join multicultural family mornings?
Discovering other cultures helps children develop curiosity about the world and openness to differences. Children learn to notice that people may live in very different ways, while at the same time sharing many similarities. The family morning is also a lovely opportunity to spend time together and meet other families living in Tallinn and the surrounding area.
Both Estonian and international families with children are very welcome. The events are held in both Estonian and English.
What will we do together?
-
find the country on a globe and discover what its flag looks like;
-
explore what children’s everyday life is like there through stories, pictures and objects;
-
listen to local music and discover traditional dances;
-
learn a few simple words in the local language;
-
taste something typical of the country;
-
leave plenty of time for free play and for families to meet and socialise.
The activities are informal, playful and child-friendly.
Good to know
Family mornings usually take place from 10:30 to 13:00. The guided programme runs approximately from 11:00 to 12:00. At other times, children are free to move between activities and choose what interests them most.
Tickets are kept affordable for families, and we also offer a few local snacks to taste during the event. Please note that a full meal or catering service is not provided.
The "Friends Around the World" children’s books can also be purchased at a special event price.
The event series is supported by the City of Tallinn.
